Individually Configurable
Our extensive field process experience, together with our 'in-house' development and design facilities enables us to configure each tower exactly for the needs of the individual client, and to offer a unique personalised design and development service.

The modular tower construction and configuration allows us to offer a simple upgrading service if necessary.


Automated Control
Towers are available with an advanced, 'user friendly' PC/PLC computer control system with 'Touch Screen controls.This provides a high degree of automation to give reproducible, operator independent operation for volume production, while maintaining the flexibility of control necessary for research and development applications.

In addition, it maintains a simple, logical interface with the operator, allowing rapid control access and a clear, 'at-a-glance' overview of current status.

Computerised data logging and statistics facilities are included, and full network connectivity is also available.

SG Controls' Fibre Drawing Towers are totally integrated designs including laminar flow, Class 100, clean air systems, developed to meet today's need for trouble-free production of high speed, high strength and low loss optical fibre.


Special Purpose Towers
SG Controls also manufacture a range of draw towers for special applications.

These include capillaries, "holey fibres", rods and bundles for applications such as: faceplate and micro-channel plate, medical, display and illuminated signs.
